Catching Up

It's been a crazy couple of months since I last blogged but looking forward to getting back into the blogosphere. Since our last trip I've now become a full fledged practicing attorney working at a great Insurance Defense firm in East Hanover, New Jersey. I would compare the job to climbing the Middlebury and Rochester Gaps in Vermont...its a steep steep climb but one day you make it to the top and the scenery will look great. I have a lot of preparation a head of me for this trip as I haven't been on my bike since sometime in the late fall. After the holidays I start training again for the trip and my half-marathon. California here we come...

6 months to go!

Six months from today we'll be leaving for California to begin our bike trip from Santa Barbara to San Francisco. We've figured out most of the major logistics; we booked our flights and decided to ship our bikes using boxes from shipbikes.com. Next we'll figure out our itinerary but it looks like we'll have 2 nights at the end of the trip in San Francisco which will be a great time.

I upgraded my bike by installing aero-bars. I'm expecting big improvements in terms of efficiency. In other recent news I broke my thumb playing softball a few weeks ago diving for a ball in the outfield. I guess that's what I get for playing softball in December!
